Intermediate Microsoft Word In-Person
Pre-req: Intro to Word
This Intermediate Word class will utilize existing documents as a base to explore
features of Microsoft Word 2016 designed to help format and organize documents. The
Intermediate Word class builds on the basics of document creation and manipulation
covered in the Introduction to Word class.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this class you should be able to:
• Open, Save and Close Word documents
• Display Nonprinting Characters used to help format documents
• Hide White Space on a document
• Set Line Spacing
• Insert Special Characters into a document
• Insert and manipulate Images on a document
• Insert a New Page
• Create and edit Tables
• Apply Formulas in a Table
• Apply Heading Styles to a Document
• Create a Table of Contents
• Set up Headers and Footers on a document
