"Flowers for Our Grandmothers" Panel Discussion

"Flowers for Our Grandmothers" Panel Discussion In-Person

Join us for a panel discussion with the grandmothers featured in the exhibit Flowers for Our Grandmothers.

Flowers for Our Grandmothers celebrates the lives and legacies of current Black/African-American grandmothers in the City of Newburgh, New York. Each participant was interviewed, photographed, and encouraged to include personal materials. The project was initiated, inspired, and largely directed by Gabrielle Burton-Hill. The grandmothers were photographed by Francois Deschamps, and Jesse Flaitz handled sound direction for the oral history aspect of the project.
