CANCELLED: Holiday Story Hour

This event has been cancelled.

The Newburgh Library, in collaboration with Make a Scene Productions, is hosting a special Holiday Story Hour, an evening filled with narratives, songs, poetry and more! This event showcases the talents of local residents, providing a cozy atmosphere for attendees to enjoy a festive experience while celebrating community creativity.

Key features of the Holiday Story Hour include not only performances but also an opportunity for guests to indulge in seasonal treats and interact with the performers during a Q&A session at the end of the show. This immersive experience invites attendees to connect with the artists and gain deeper insights into their work, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the night. The event aims to foster community spirit and bring people together through the art of storytelling and performance.

Got a talent you want to share; a song to sing, a poem you wrote, a comedy routine, or an excerpt from your soon to be published novel?  All acts are welcomed!
Register here with the Library to be part of the showcase of talent. Open call will close when 12 talent registrations are received.  Each act will have a maximum of 10 minutes to showcase their talent! Deadline for Talent Submission is November 20th, 2025, 12 noon.  Please use the library registration form to indicate name, email, details of your act and a selfie or headshot to be used in marketing the event.  Thereafter additional details for a one-day meet and greet and rehearsal will be sent to talent by Harrie Mulé. This is a non-paying, non-union showcase.

Registration below is only for attendance purposes, not performance.

Produced and directed by Harrie Mulé, a local resident and Artistic Director, the Holiday Story Hour reflects the collaborative effort between the library and Make a Scene Productions to create cultural enrichment in the area. This celebration of local talent and seasonal joy promises to be a memorable highlight of the holiday season for all participants!
