History House: Build a Miniature Wall! In-Person
History House is for all ages - children under 10 must be joined by a responsible adult. Doll houses are not just about the objects inside them, but about the textures on the walls as well. In this short workshop we will learn how to apply scale wallpaper, molding, wall art, and curtains to miniature walls in ways that reference the historic homes in Newburgh. You will leave this workshop with your own miniature wall ready to sit on a shelf or in your own doll house! This workshop will be led by Dan Daly of Dan Daly Design.

This series is a partnership between the Newburgh Free Library and the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay & the Highlands.
What is History House?
Adopt a dollhouse kit and attend workshops to learn how to build and decorate a miniature home inspired by the historic architecture of Newburgh. Anyone can attend the workshop, though those who are adopting dollhouse kits are encouraged to attend to help provide tips and inspiration for completing and decorating each dollhouse.
Completed houses will be on display as part of an Archtober Newburgh Exhibit prior to being auctioned off as a library fundraiser.
This series is open to families of all ages and adults - children under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
